The following optional items are available for your Anoxomat Mark II:
For details, please click on the option
-Pre-programmed recipe for oxygen level and evacuation level
Instead of accepting the standard micro-aerophilic recipe with a resulting
Oxygen level of 6%, you may wish to incubate i.e. Helicobacter species with
5% Oxygen. Oxygen levels can be set between 0 and 21%. Maximum evacuation
level in standard programme is 205 mbar. As this may be harmful to the culture
or the agar this can be adapted to: 400, 500 or 600 mbar.
You can order one or more recipes according to your specification.
-An additional jar connection (including
software update)
In case you need to be able to process more than one jar at the time, you need
to order one or more additional jar connections. A maximum of 4 jar connections
can be incorporated. One is already included in
the
standard configuration.
-An additional gas connection (including software update)
In case for your type of culture or research the Anoxomat needs to have more
than one gas supply, you need to order one or two additional gas connections.
A maximum of 3 gas connections can be incorporated. One is already included
in the standard configuration.
A MAXIMUM OF TOTAL 5 CONNECTIONS (JARS +/+ GASSES) IS POSSIBLE.
-Pre-programmed recipe for oxygen level, gas mixture and evacuation level
In case you have purchased a secondary gas supply to your Anoxomat, this gas
supply will have to be programmed according to your specifications; Oxygen
levels can be demanded between 0 and 21%. CO2 and/or H2 levels
can be chosen within limitation. They depend on the required O2 level
and the installed gas mixtures. Maximum evacuation level in standard programme
is 205 mbar. As this may be harmful to the culture or the agar this may be
adapted to: 400, 500 or 600 mbar.
You can order with Mart Microbiology or your local supplier one or more recipes
according to your specification. These pre-programmed recipes are saved in
the system for future reference.
-Free User programming function
For free user programming of oxygen level, gas mixture and evacuation level.
In case you expect to need more than a few pre-programmed special recipes
as described above, you may want to order this option. The user programming
function gives you the possibility to program recipes yourself. This is very
simple. Oxygen levels can be demanded between 0 and 21%. In case your Anoxomat
is equipped with secondary gas supplies, CO2 and/or H2 levels
can be chosen with limitation. They depend on the required O2 level
and the installed gas mixtures. Maximum evacuation level in standard programme
is 205 mbar. As this may be harmful to the culture or the agar this can be
adapted to: 400, 500 or 600 mbar.
These user-programmed recipes are saved in the system for future reference.
-Thermal printer
Many laboratories struggle to fulfil current accreditation standards. The Anoxomat
facilitates compliance by enabling the laboratory to document, control and
retrace the sample processing history.

You can printout each recipe run on the Anoxomat. Information included in
the print is: Equipment used, Date, Time, Gas mixture used, which recipe was
used, the quality assurance test results, and the gas mixture in the approved
jar.
The printout can be attached to the jar(s) when they go into the incubator.
This way, no mix-up of jars can happen, and the user knows immediately the
contents of the jar and how it was processed. For this purpose Mart Microbiology
attaches a small clip on the lid of each jar.
The printer uses standard thermal paper.
You can order separately "Medical Grade paper" which does not fade till after xx months, if stored correctly.
Alternatively a normal paper printer can be ordered instead of the thermal paper printer.
-Registration Input screen
To make it possible for the laboratory to follow or trace back how and when
the samples were processed and who processed them, Mart Microbiology offers
this option. It is a further step to fulfil current accreditation standards.
Following information can be registered in the Anoxomat:
Laboratory identification
You will be able to input the name of the laboratory and the department of
the laboratory where the samples were processed.
User identification
To limit access to the Anoxomat, and to identify who processed the samples,
technicians-Ids can be set-up. The user will, before each recipe is started,
get a request to input the following data:
Job identification
The user will, before each recipe is started, get a request to input the following
data:
- Jar ID
- Reference
- Sample ID
- Oxygen indicator
- Incubation time
- Incubation temperature
- Authorization
The input can be made obligatory.
All information registered in the Registration Input screen will appear on the
printout in case a printer is connected. Please find hereafter a example of print-outs
without and
with the Registration Input screen.
| - Print-out WITHOUT Registration screen |
- Print-out WITH Registration screen |

The Print-out can be attached under a special clip on the lid, to identify
the jar when it is in the incubator
-Data Interface
The data generated by the Anoxomat (and printed out for jar identification)
can also be transferred to a database:
- To a web page as CSV file(comma separated values)

The CSV file data can be used to transfer data into an existing Lims (laboratory
information management system) System.
- To a Mart Microbiology b.v Excel database
Within this Mart Microbiology b.v Excel database, some additional functionally
is available:
- View and look-up function
- Remarks can be added to each recipe for future reference
- Report page with final results per day
